Whatever their changing weather and mood, the volcanos of Lake Atitlán are beautiful.

Caftan Shirts
20 years ago in Quetzaltenango, Deborah's father took a caftan-style shirt with an interesting "western" yoke back, which Deborah's mother had made for him and which was very comfortable and nice-looking, to a tailor to have it copied. The tailor made the shirt and also made several more which he sold to other customers.
20 years later, the shirt, including the "western" yoke, is for sale all over the country! These were in Panajachel, but we saw them in Tourists' Markets in Antigua, Guatemala City, and Chichicastenango, as well.
